1997 Mount Vernon East Front Folk Art Ornament
This busy scene of winter life at Mount Vernon shown from the East Front, or Potomac River side, perspective depicts scenes George Washington may have seen as he toured his 8,000-acre estate. This fine porcelain ornament is set in 24-karat gold-finished brass that shows many of the other buildings on the estate such as the 16-sided barn and the schoolhouse. The scene depicted is adapted from a painting by contemporary artist, Carol Dyer. Incredibly detailed, this ornament will show you something new each time you look at it.
